Festival Information

April 18, 2020 is the 3nd Fredericksburg Jazz Festival! There are 12-16 school ensembles performing throughout the day, Improvisation clinics open to school attendees, and the Festival culminates in the Feature Concert at 7:00pm. This year’s 7:00pm Feature Concert includes Randy Brecker, Matthew Maldonado, Hank Hehmsoth, Utah Hamrick, Daniel Dufour, and the Fredericksburg High School Jazz Ensemble directed by Jason Younts.

This year’s Feature Concert will also feature the WORLD PREMIERE of a Michael Davis piece commissioned for the Fredericksburg High School Jazz Ensemble. You do not want to miss this!!!

Festival Schedule

The Fredericksburg Jazz Festival hosts over a dozen Middle School and High School Jazz Ensembles throughout the day of the event. The Festival culminates with a Ticket required 7:00pm Feature Concert consisting of our Feature Artists and the Fredericksburg High School Jazz Ensemble.
